Demand in the Romanian seamless pipe market has remained weak amid the seasonal decline in pipe consumption and economic instability in the EU. However, Romanian producers have kept their domestic offers unchanged at previous levels, while export quotations of Romanian seamless pipes have declined by €10-20/mt ($13-26/mt) over the past month amid low buying activity. Market insiders do not predict any improvement for the coming period and pipe producers hope to keep their prices stable.

Romanian domestic quotations of 3"-10" seamless pipes made to ASTM or EN are at about €880-900/mt ($1,115-1,140/mt) delivered, excluding 24 percent VAT.

Export offers of 3"-10" seamless pipes of grade B made to ASTM A106/API 5L are being given by ArcelorMittal Roman to the external markets at around €900-920/mt ($1,097-1,147/mt) FCA, while 12"-14" pipes are at levels of €920-970/mt ($1,147-1,209/mt) FCA.

Import offers of 3"-4" seamless pipes from the Czech Republic (ArcelorMittal) of grade B as per ASTM A106 are being given to the Romanian market at €880-910/mt ($1,115-1,138/mt) CPT.
