Trading activity has been quiet in the Turkish seamless pipe market over the past month as end-user demand has failed to improve. The market is also cautious as the Turkish lira is losing value against the US dollar. Quotations of Chinese seamless pipe offers have decreased by a maximum of $10/mt over the past month, while import offers of seamless pipes from Ukraine and Russia have lost $10-30/mt. Over the same period, Romanian pipes have moved up by around $15/mt amid currency fluctuations. Market participants do not foresee significant price growth in the period ahead as the market situation remains unstable.
