The Romania seamless pipe market remains depressed amid the seasonal decline in pipe consumption and economic instability in the EU. However, Romanian producers have maintained their domestic offers at the previous levels, while export quotations of Romanian seamless pipes have declined by €80-100/mt over the past month. Market insiders think that domestic prices of locally produced seamless pipes will follow the downward trend in export quotations as buyers are unlikely to become much more active until February-March 2012 due to weak demand from consuming industries.
