The Romanian seamless pipe market is currently quiet, with buyer activity at very low levels amid the usual seasonal factors. Domestic and export prices for Romanian seamless pipes have decreased by €30-45/mt ($30-47/mt) over the past month. At the same time, import offers of seamless pipes from the Czech Republic have decreased by €15-20/mt ($14-19/mt) over the same period. For the coming period, market insiders do not predict any improvement and pipe producers hope to keep their prices stable.

Romanian domestic quotations of 3"-10" seamless pipes made to ASTM or EN are at about €825-850/mt ($924-952/mt) delivered, excluding 24 percent VAT.

Export offers of 3"-10" seamless pipes of grade B made to ASTM A106/API 5L are being given by ArcelorMittal Roman to the external markets at around €840-860/mt ($941-963/mt) FCA, while 12" pipes are at levels of €865-885/mt ($969-991/mt) FCA.

Import offers of 3"-4" seamless pipes from the Czech Republic (ArcelorMittal) of grade B as per ASTM A106 are being given to the Romanian market at €885-900/mt ($991-1,008/mt) CPT.
