A decline in import and domestic flats prices along with consistently low demand from local and foreign customers have caused another decrease in welded pipe prices in Turkey. Over the past two weeks, domestic and export quotations of welded pipes in Turkey have declined by $20-40/mt. For the coming weeks, no improvement in demand is foreseen because of the holiday season. The negative market conditions are based on the weakness of the global welded pipe market, which is unlikely to recover before the end of the summer.
