There have not been any significant changes in the Polish welded pipe market over the past month amid extremely low levels of market activity over the regional Christmas break. Polish welded pipe producers have kept their offers at the same levels as one month ago. Import offers of Italian and Bulgarian welded pipes have declined by around €10/mt ($40-41/mt) over the period under review. It is expected that the welded pipe market in Poland will likely remain in suspense until market conditions become clear, as the region has not yet fully resumed work after the holiday break. However, there is an expectation that welded pipe prices in the Polish market may start to improve following the recent price increase for flat steel products in Europe.
