The Spanish seamless pipe market has been quiet over the past month facing very limited demand and low transaction volumes. However, domestic and export quotations of seamless pipes from Spain have generally remained at previous levels, with a maximum decrease of €10/mt ($13/mt) over the past month. Chinese suppliers have cut their offers by €20-30/mt ($25-38/mt) over the period under review, while offers of Ukrainian material have moved down by €10-20/mt ($13-25/mt). Import offers of Italian material have remained unchanged. It is likely that prices for locally produced seamless pipes will decline in the short run under pressure from cheap imported material, lack of demand in the market and falling raw material prices.
Current Spanish domestic prices for 2"-4" hot-formed seamless pipes, grade B made to ASTM A106, are at around €940-970/mt ($1,184-1,222/mt) ex-works.
Current export prices of Spanish seamless pipes, 2"-4" grade B according to ASTM A106, are varying at around €980-1,000/mt ($1,235-1,260/mt) FOB.
Prices for Chinese seamless pipes, 2"-6" grade B made to ASTM A106/API 5L, are at about €580-610/mt ($731-769/mt) CFR Spain, exclusive of antidumping duties (in the range of 17.7-39.2 percent depending on the producer).
Offers of Ukrainian seamless pipes, 2"-6" grade B according to API 5L, are being given to Spain at €810-840/mt ($1,021-1,058/mt) CPT. Prices are shown exclusive of 13.8 percent antidumping duty.
Quotations of Italian seamless pipes, 2"-6" grade B made to ASTM A106, to Spain are at €810-840/mt ($1,021-1,058/mt) CPT.
