The seamless pipe market in Iran has been quiet over the past month amid the Iranian New Year holidays and the lack of demand. The shortage of demand has caused the Iranian seamless pipe market to move on a downward trend during the past month. Domestic prices for Iranian seamless pipes have moved down by a maximum of $20/mt over the past month. In the given period, import offers of Ukrainian material have decreased by $30/mt, quotations of Russian seamless pipes have declined by $10-20/mt, while prices of Chinese pipes have remained unchanged. Market participants are waiting to see the government's budget for the Iranian New year and to view the influence of the exchange rate on the market.

Current domestic prices for Iranian seamless pipes, 2"-4" grade B made to API 5L, have remained in the range of $900-930/mt ex-works.

Stockists' quotations of Iranian 1"-3" seamless pipes, grade B made to API 5L, are in the range of $960-1,005/mt ex-warehouse, compared to $1,020-1,050/mt ex-warehouse one month ago.

Import offers of Chinese seamless pipes, 2"-6", grade B made to ASTM A106/API 5L, are being given to the local Iranian market at $580-620/mt CFR Bandar Abbas.

Quotations of Ukrainian seamless pipes of 2"-6" size, grade B as per ASTM A106, are in a range of around $900-920/mt CFR.

Russian pipes of 2"-6", grade B as per ASTM A106 or GOST, are being offered to northern Iranian ports at $960-990/mt CFR.
