Foreign suppliers again hike seamless pipe prices for Turkish market

Foreign suppliers of seamless pipes have maintained their upward price policy for the Turkish market amid rising prices for round billets. Over the past month, quotations of Chinese seamless pipes have increased by $140-160/mt. Import offers of seamless pipes from Ukraine have risen by $30-85/mt over the same period. Prices for seamless pipes from Russia have been hiked by $95-100/mt. In the coming period, import quotations of seamless pipes are expected to rise further, pushed up by growing production costs and stable demand in the Turkish market.

Current quotations for Chinese seamless pipes 2"-6" grade B made to ASTM A106/API 5L are in the range of $880-900/mt C&F Turkey's Marmara Sea ports. Chinese casings 7"-13 3/8" of J55 and K55 as per API 5CT are being given to the Turkish market at about $1,020-1,050/mt C&F.

May production pipes from Ukrainian producer Interpipe with diameter of 42-377 mm made of steel grade 10, 20 according to GOST 8731/8732 are being offered to the Turkish market at about $1,045-1,050/mt C&F.

Quotations of Russian seamless pipes from TMK (Volzhsky PP) with diameter up to 219.1 mm made to GOST 8731/8732 are being given to the Turkish market at about $885-900/mt C&F.

Romanian seamless pipes 6"-14" of steel grade S275JOH as per EN 10210 are being quoted at around $1,140-1,225/mt C&F. Quotations of Romanian 12" seamless pipes of grade B made to ASTM A106 are in the range of $1,180-1,200/mt CPT.

Boiler seamless pipes from the Czech Republic (ArcelorMittal Ostrava) 6"-10" made to EN 10216 are being given to the Turkish market at around $1,170-1,200/mt CPT.
