Foreign buyers have shown little interest in buying seamless pipes from Russian and Ukrainian suppliers due to seasonal factors. As a result, export quotations of seamless pipes from the CIS have stayed almost unchanged over the past month. CIS suppliers plan to revise their prices in April as demand from foreign consumers is expected to become firmer. An expected increase in production costs will also contribute to an upward adjustment of seamless pipe prices.

Export prices from Ukrainian mill Interpipe for March production hot-formed seamless pipes of 42-159 mm diameter as per GOST or ASTM currently vary in the range of $980-1,000/mt FOB, while quotations of pipes of 168-325 mm diameter are at $1,040-1,080/mt FOB. Export offers of seamless pipes with 355.6 mm diameter, made to DIN EN 10210-1 of steel grade S355J2H, are at $1,380-1,400/mt FOB.
