The seamless pipe market in Romania has been following a downtrend in prices during the past month against a background of poor demand and low transaction volumes. Seamless pipe prices in Romania have gone down by around €10-20/mt ($14-27/mt) over the past month because of a lack of trading activity, while import offers of Czech material have decreased by €30/mt ($41/mt) during the same period. Buying activity is expected to remain slow during the summer lull.

Romanian domestic quotations of 3"-10" seamless pipes made to ASTM or EN are at about €880-900/mt ($1,198-1,225/mt) delivered, excluding 24 percent VAT.

Export offers of 3"-10" seamless pipes of grade B made to ASTM A106/API 5L are being given by ArcelorMittal Roman to the external markets at around €900-940/mt ($1,225-1,279/mt) FCA, while 16" pipes are at levels of €970-1,060/mt ($1,320-1,443/mt) FCA.

Import offers of 3"-4" seamless pipes from the Czech Republic (ArcelorMittal) of grade B as per ASTM A106 are being given to the Romanian market at €900-940/mt ($1,225-1,279/mt) CPT.
