The Iranian seamless pipe market has remained quiet over the past month due to scarce buying activity amid cautious sentiment. However, prices of domestic production seamless pipes have not changed over the past month due to poor demand for foreign materials. At the same time, import offers of Ukrainian and Russian material have gone up by around $25-50/mt, while quotations of Chinese seamless pipes have remained almost unchanged. Market players report that Iranian buyers remain quite cautious amid the uncertain market situation. Poor demand in end-user industries and financial problems continue to weigh on seamless pipe sales in the Iranian market.
Current domestic prices of Iranian production seamless pipes of 1"-4" grade B made to API 5L are at $1,100-1,150/mt ex-works.
