Demand for Czech seamless pipes slows down

Activity in the Czech seamless pipe market has slowed down due to the holiday period in Europe. Over the past month, export offers of Czech seamless pipes have declined by around €20/mt ($14mt) because of slow buying in the EU. Demand in the Czech seamless pipe market is unlikely to improve until the middle of January due to seasonal factors. Meanwhile, Czech suppliers may attempt to raise their prices later, hoping for demand recover.

Current export prices for 3"-10" Sch 40 seamless bare pipes (without varnish coating) of steel grade B made to ASTM A106 from ArcelorMittal Ostrava are at €880-900/mt ($1,213-1,241/mt), while 3/4"-1" seamless pipes are at €1,000-1,040/mt ($1,380-1,434/mt) FCA.

Current export quotations for 3"-10" Sch 40 seamless pipes of steel grade B made to ASTM A106 from ArcelorMittal Ostrava are at around €910-930/mt ($1,255-1,282/mt) FCA, while 3/4"-1" seamless pipes are at €1,030-1,070/mt ($1,420-1,475/mt) FCA.
