The Czech seamless pipe market is currently seeing slow demand from foreign customers. The current month promises to be very quiet in terms of demand due to the summer vacation period in Europe. Export prices of Czech seamless pipes have declined by €10-20/mt ($10.9-21.7/mt) over the past month, while prices on US dollar basis have decreased by $41-52/mt in the same period due to the fluctuation of the exchange rate. Market participants do not expect any significant price changes before September.
Current export prices for 3"-4" Sch 40 seamless bare pipes (without varnish coating) of steel grade B made to ASTM A106 from ArcelorMittal Ostrava are at €820-840/mt ($894-916/mt), while 1" seamless pipes are at €940-960/mt ($1,024-1,046/mt) FCA.
