Demand for Czech seamless pipe exports unlikely to improve by end of year

There has been little activity in the Czech seamless pipe export market over the past month, with demand characterized by sluggishness. Export quotations of Czech origin seamless pipes have decreased by €10-20/mt ($31-47/mt) over the past month due to lack of buying interest from foreign customers. Czech exporters of seamless pipes report that consuming industries in the key export markets do not show much improvement in terms of demand levels. Export demand for seamless pipes from Czech Republic is unlikely to firm up by the end of the year, market participants believe.

Current export prices for 3"-10" Sch 40 seamless bare pipes (without varnish coating) of steel grade B made to ASTM A106 from ArcelorMittal Ostrava are at €850-880/mt ($1,063-1,100/mt), while 3/4" seamless pipes are at €990-1,020/mt ($1,238-1,275/mt) FCA.

Current export quotations for 3"-10" Sch 40 seamless pipes of steel grade B made to ASTM A106 from ArcelorMittal Ostrava are at around €880-910/mt ($1,100-1,138/mt) FCA, while 1" seamless pipes are at €1,000-1,030/mt ($1,250-1,288/mt) FCA.
