Trading activity has been slack in the Czech seamless pipe market over the past month amid cold weather and the holiday period. Meanwhile, market participants report that offers of Czech seamless pipes to foreign buyers have remained almost unchanged over the period under review. However, despite slow demand for Czech seamless pipes in the majority of export markets, local producers may try to raise prices due to an expected hike in production costs in February.
Current export prices for 2"-3" Sch 40 seamless bare pipes (without varnish coating) of steel grade B made to ASTM A106 from ArcelorMittal Ostrava are at €910-930/mt ($1,189-1,215/mt) for February rolling, while 3/4"-1" seamless pipes are at €1,030-1,070/mt ($1,346-1,398/mt) FCA.
Current export quotations for 3"-10" Sch 40 seamless pipes of steel grade B made to ASTM A106 with varnish coating from ArcelorMittal Ostrava are at around €940-960/mt ($1,229-1,255/mt) FCA for February rolling, while 3/4"-1" seamless pipes are at €1,060-1,100/mt ($1,385-1,438/mt) FCA.
Export offers of 3"-10" seamless steel tubes of steel grade B made to API 5L, PSL2 from ArcelorMittal Ostrava are at around €970-990/mt ($1,268-1,294/mt) FCA.
