According to market sources, demand for Chinese welded pipes in the export markets is still on the low side. So, the uptrend in hot rolled coil (HRC) prices – raw material for welded pipe production – has not been reflected to welded pipe prices yet. Therefore, Chinese offers to the export markets for 0.5"-12" grade B water and gas welded pipes as per ASTM A53 or API 5L have remained stable over the past two weeks at $380-400/mt FOB on theoretical weight basis.
