Chinese pipe offers to export markets

SteelOrbis has been informed that demand in the local Chinese steel pipe market is currently good with inventories at very low levels. As a result, it is believed that Chinese seamless and welded pipe export prices have the potential to follow an upward trend.
 
According to market sources, Chinese export offers for  2"-12" grade B seamless pipes as per API 5L are at $590-625/mt FOB, while Chinese offers to the export markets for 2"-12" grade B water and gas ERW pipes as per API 5L are at $505-575/mt FOB. Market sources state that Chinese seamless and welded pipe export prices may move up in the coming days.
