Some seamless pipe suppliers in Germany have attempted to raise their quotations on the back of a slight increase in demand and higher raw material costs. Prices for seamless pipes in Germany have moved slightly up by around €10-20/mt ($14-28/mt) over the past month. Import prices of Chinese material have decreased by €20-30/mt ($28-41/mt) over the past month, while offers of Romanian and Italian pipes have remained unchanged over the same period.
Meanwhile, market participants are still cautious since market conditions are characterized by uncertainty and as demand for seamless pipes in the domestic and international markets remains unsatisfactory.
