Due to lower prices for flat products and moderate demand from local and foreign consumers, most Bulgarian welded pipe producers have reduced their prices. Bulgarian domestic prices for welded pipes of 2-5 mm wall thickness have decreased by a maximum of €5/mt over the past two weeks. At the same time, domestic quotations of ERW pipes of 1.5 mm wall thickness have dropped by €20-30/mt. Export offers of Bulgarian welded pipes have declined by €10-50/mt over the last two weeks. The main customers for Bulgarian welded pipes remain the European countries. Welded pipe producers in Bulgaria report that they have sufficient stocks of flat products and so they will not be vulnerable to feedstock price fluctuations in the coming short-term period. As a result, market insiders think that prices will remain at the present levels in the coming weeks.
