Business activity has remained sluggish in the Spanish seamless pipe market over the past month amid the unfavorable political and economic situation in the country. As a result, most foreign suppliers have had to back down on prices, while quotations of Spanish seamless pipes have remained unchanged over the period under review. Prices offered from China have decreased by €10/mt ($14/mt) over the past month, while import offers of Ukrainian seamless pipes have declined by around €20-30/mt ($28-41/mt). At the same time, quotations of Italian material have remained at previous levels. Most market players believe seamless pipe prices in Spain may continue to move down amid slack demand both at home and abroad. Reduced seamless pipe consumption in the country against the backdrop of the ongoing crisis will affect end-users’ interest in concluding purchases in the coming period.

Current Spanish domestic prices for 2"-10" hot-formed seamless pipes, grade B made to ASTM A106, are at around €1,000-1,070/mt ($1,380-1,477/mt) ex-works.

Current export prices of Spanish seamless pipes, 2"-10" grade B according to ASTM A106, are varying at around €1,030-1,100/mt ($1,421-1,518/mt) FOB.
Prices for Chinese seamless pipes, 2"-6" grade B made to ASTM A106/API 5L, are at about €670-730/mt ($925-1,007/mt) CFR Spain, exclusive of antidumping duties (in the range of 17.7-39.2 percent depending on the producer).

Offers of October-November production Ukrainian seamless pipes with 42-168 mm diameter of 10, 20 steel grade made to GOST or EN are being given to Spain at €750-780/mt ($1,035-1,076/mt) CPT. Prices are shown exclusive of 12.3-13.8 percent antidumping duty.

Quotations of Italian seamless pipes, 8"-10" grade B made to ASTM A106, to Spain are at €1,100-1,130/mt ($1,518-1,559/mt) CPT.
