Atlas Tube slates $40/nt immediate increase

Atlas Tube sent a letter to customers Thursday announcing that it is increasing the price on hollow structural section (HSS) products effective with all new orders received after 5:00pm CST on July 19, 2012.

Pricing will increase by a minimum of:

All HSS Shapes up through 12 sq (Square and Equivalent Rectangles): US$2.00 cwt. ($44/mt or $40/nt)

All HSS Rounds up through 20"OD: US$2.00 cwt. ($44/mt or $40/nt)

All orders currently on the books will be price protected for shipments through August 18, 2012. This increase applies to all unconfirmed quotes and contracts.
