Atlas Tube announces increase on HSS products

According to an August 13 price announcement letter sent out by Atlas Tube, a $40/nt increase on all HSS shapes up through 12sq and all HSS rounds up through 20"OD will take effect immediately.  All current orders on their books, however, will remain price protected for shipments through September 11, 2010, with the increase only being applied to all "unconfirmed quotes and contracts".

The increase is based on recently announced increases for raw materials.
