In late April, SteelOrbis reported high carbon ferromanganese trading at $1,358-1,407/mt in-warehouse Pittsburgh. The price reflected a reduction of $20/mt from the top of the late March pricing range but a stable bottom range.
According to sources, high carbon ferromanganese is now trading at $1,407-1,456/mt in-warehouse Pittsburgh as of late May. This reflects an increase of $49/mt. Sources note the increase is a result of tight availability and approaching third quarter negotiations.
