Uralvtorchermet raises procurement scrap prices

Uralvtorchermet, Russia, increased the purchase prices for A3 scrap for domestic market for August deliveries. The new purchase prices for A3 scrap are varied in the range of Ruble 6,100-6,200 per metric ton (approx. $229.4), including VAT, depending on the region of delivery. Uralvtorchermet is a holding comprising scrap preparation and processing enterprises, which are located in more than 30 Russian regions, where scrap is collected and processed by approximately 200 production sites. Association Uralvtorchermet is a large player in Russian scrap market. The association Uralvtorchermet is a raw material division of Maxi-Group that provides its metallurgical plants with scrap. Among consumers of Uralvtorchermet during many years are Severstal, Mechel, Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works and other major Russian metallurgical enterprises.
