Slack demand for ex-Mediterranean scrap

SteelOrbis has heard from market sources that HMS I/II 80:20 scrap offers from Lebanon to Turkey have remained stable since last week at $360-365/mt CFR.

Demand for ex-Mediterranean scrap in Turkey's Iskenderun region, where Mediterranean scrap transactions in the country are mostly concluded, is on the weak side this week, while most suppliers have withdrawn their offers. Scrap offers will likely soften in the coming week and no Lebanese scrap deal is expected to be concluded in the Iskenderun region during this week.
