Scrap prices increase in Taiwan

SteelOrbis has been informed that the price of HMS 1&2 carbon scrap in Taiwan is being quoted at NTD 7,200-8,000/mt ($213-236/mt) ex-yard. The prices have increased by NTD 200-300/mt ($6-9/mt) as compared to last week.

Meanwhile, the price of stainless scrap in Taiwan is being quoted at NTD 33,000-40,000/mt ($977-1,184/mt) ex-yard. The prices have shown an increase of NTD 2,000-5,000/mt ($59-148/mt) as compared to last week.

Prices, which include five percent VAT, are for late March/early April shipments.
