Prices in Turkish ship scrap market move sideways

Demand for ship scrap In Turkey's Aliaga region - the only region in the country where ship scrapping is allowed - has revived slightly during the past week, causing ship scrap purchase activity to improve. Meanwhile, the ship scrap purchase quotations of local steel producers have remained stable week on week at $215/mt ex-yard. Additionally, no improvement is expected in ship scrap demand after the end-of Ramadan holiday (Jul 4-7).
