SteelOrbis has heard from market insiders that Russian pig iron suppliers have not given many offers to the local Turkish market, though it is learned that Russian pig iron offers to the export market are currently at the level of $470/mt FOB.
On the other hand, Ukrainian pig iron mills and traders' offers to the Turkish market are standing at $480-490/mt CFR, although the price idea of Turkish buyers is around $470-475/mt CFR. However, market players believe that, if Ukrainian pig iron suppliers give discounts in their offers, buyers in the Turkish market will likely conclude transactions.
Furthermore, SteelOrbis has been informed that CIS producers have finished their booking activities for April production and are now giving offers for May shipment.
