Nuovo Campsider: Scrap prices to soften in Italy and Europe in October

Italian scrap consumers association Nuovo Campsider has said it expects that in the month of October scrap prices will indicate decreases both in the local Italian market and in the overall European market. In September, scrap prices were more or less stable in Italy, though signs of weakening appeared in the last days of the month.

Nuovo Campsider's prediction for October is based on the continued weakness of the finished steel market, on the low levels of iron ore prices and on the decreases in scrap prices in the global market.
