Local market sources report that domestic scrap prices in western India (Alang) have increased by INR 1,100/mt ($17/mt) to INR 19,700/mt ($297/mt) ex-yard over the past week, while prices in northern India (Mandi Govindgarh) have increased by INR 1,600/mt ($24/mt) over the same period to INR 21,600/mt ($325/mt) ex-yard.
