According to the latest figures provided by the German steel scrap recycler association (BDSV), in the first 20 days of July this year domestic steel scrap prices in Germany recorded a decrease of €18/mt ($21/mt) on average compared to the corresponding period in the previous month, while in June a €20/mt ($23/mt) decrease had been recorded compared to May.
On year-on-year basis, in the first 20 days of July this year German domestic scrap prices indicated a more significant decrease of €65/mt ($75/mt) on average.
