Local market sources report that domestic scrap prices in western India (Alang) have increased by INR 1,100/mt ($16/mt) over the past week to INR 16,200/mt ($238/mt) ex-yard, while prices in northern India (Mandi Govindgarh) have risen by INR 2,100/mt ($31/mt) over the same period to INR 19,200/mt ($283/mt) ex-yard.
