Local scrap quotations in Indian market - week 39

Local market sources report that domestic scrap prices in western India (Alang) have increased by INR 2,200/mt ($33/mt) over the past week to INR 18,200/mt ($274/mt) ex-yard, while prices in northern India (Mandi Govindgarh) have moved up by INR 800/mt ($12/mt) over the same period to INR 18,800/mt ($283/mt) ex-yard.
 
Meanwhile, ex-Europe HMS I/II 80:20 scrap prices for India have decreased by $10/mt week on week to $220/mt CFR.
