Local scrap quotations in Indian market - week 37

Local market sources report that domestic scrap prices in western India (Alang) have increased by INR 700/mt ($10/mt) over the past week to INR 16,000/mt ($239/mt) ex-yard, while prices in northern India (Mandi Govindgarh) have moved up by INR 500/mt ($7/mt) over the same period to INR 17,700/mt ($265/mt) ex-yard.
 
Meanwhile, ex-Europe HMS I/II 80:20 scrap prices for India have remained stable week on week at $230/mt CFR.
