Local market sources report that domestic scrap prices in western India (Alang) have decreased by INR 200/mt ($3/mt) over the past week to INR 15,600/mt ($233/mt) ex-yard, while prices in northern India (Mandi Govindgarh) have fallen by INR 300/mt ($4/mt) over the same period to INR 18,100/mt ($271/mt) ex-yard.
Meanwhile, ex-Europe HMS I/II 80:20 scrap prices in India have declined by $10/mt week on week to $215/mt CFR.
