According to the latest figures provided by the German steel scrap recycler association (BDSV), in the first 20 days of May this year domestic steel scrap prices in Germany recorded a slight increase of €1.48/mt ($1,63/mt) compared to the corresponding period in the previous month.
On the other hand, on year-on-year basis, in the first 20 days of May this year German domestic scrap prices indicated a significant decrease of €21/mt ($23/mt) on average.
