According to the latest figures provided by the German steel scrap recycler association (BDSV), in the first 20 days of March this year domestic steel scrap prices in Germany recorded a €2/mt ($2.2/mt) decrease compared to the corresponding period in the previous month.
In February this year, prices had decreased by €17/mt ($19/mt) compared to the previous month, while in the first month of this year prices had increased by €5/mt ($5.5/mt) month on month.
On the other hand, on year-on-year basis, in the first 20 days of March this year German domestic scrap prices indicated a significant decrease of €26/mt ($29/mt) on average.
