According to the latest figures provided by the German steel scrap recycler association (BDSV), in the first 20 days of June domestic steel scrap prices in Germany decreased by €2-4/mt compared to the same period in the month of May. In February and March, scrap quotations had recorded an average month-on-month decrease of €15-16/mt, while in April prices had increased by €12-19/mt compared to the previous month. In May, local scrap prices had decreased on average by €1.92/mt month on month.
On the other hand, in the first 20 days of June this year, German domestic scrap prices indicated an increase of €3-11/mt on year-on-year basis.
