According to the latest figures provided by German steel scrap recycler association (BDSV), in the first 20 days of January domestic steel scrap prices in Germany were virtually unchanged compared to the same period last month, with just slight increases seen. In December, quotations had recorded month-on-month increases in the range of €1-6/mt ($1-8/mt), while in January price increases compared to December were lower than €2/mt ($3/mt) on average.
