According to the latest figures provided by the German steel scrap recycler association (BDSV), in January this year domestic steel scrap prices in Germany decreased by €2.5/mt ($2.7/mt) on average compared to the corresponding period in the previous month.
On year-on-year basis, in January this year German domestic scrap prices indicated a significant decrease of €80/mt ($87/mt) on average.
