In October this year, local French steel scrap prices decreased by €17/mt ($21/mt) compared to September, according to the latest data issued by the French Steel Federation (FFA). This has confirmed the decreasing trend seen in other European Union (EU) countries such as Italy and Germany in the month of October.
On year-on-year basis, in October this year local scrap prices decreased by €2/mt ($2.48$/mt) in France, as shown in the following table:
