Latest situation in local Italian scrap market

It is too early to talk about changes in the local Italian scrap market, according to sources. Price levels are the same as one week ago, while negotiations have just begun between local buyers and scrap suppliers in the market. Nevertheless, it is probable that high quality scrap prices will record very slight decreases, while lower quality scrap prices should decrease by €5-10/mt compared to May levels. The supply-demand balance is still satisfactory. The situation in the market will become clearer by the end of the current week.
