Japanese scrap booking in Taiwan

SteelOrbis has learned that Taiwanese EAF mill Feng Hsin Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. (Feng Hsin) has concluded a booking of HMS#2 scrap ex-Japan at $327/mt CFR Taichung, Taiwan, for July 2007 shipment. Taking into account the fact that the ocean freight rate is at around $36-37/mt, it can be said that the concluded price is equal to $290-291/mt FOB Japan.
