According to market sources, pig iron offers from CIS-based producers for Italy currently stand at average levels of $250-260/mt CFR, unchanged over the past two weeks.

In the meantime, the market is very quiet in terms of transactions and buyers do not have much interest in concluding new purchases. Large volumes of pig iron have arrived at Italian ports in past months. For example, more than 135,000 mt arrived at the port of Marghera near Venice in the month of May.
