CIS-based pig iron suppliers, who had preferred not to give offers to the export markets as of October 25, have returned to the markets in the middle of the current week due to the rises seen in coal and scrap quotations. Meanwhile, ex-CIS pig iron offers have increased by $20/mt compared to the price levels recorded on October 25 to $270-295/mt CFR FOB. On the other hand, market sources state that, after negotiations, deals have been concluded at $270-280/mt FOB this week.
