Demand for ex-CIS pig iron has been at low levels during the past week, while no new pig iron sale from the CIS region has been heard in the same period. Lately, a Ukrainian steel producer's pig iron export prices have been heard at $255-260/mt/mt FOB. On the other hand, the declines recorded in global iron ore quotations over the past week have put pressure on ex-CIS pig iron prices, impacting them negatively.
