There had been some deals that China concluded before the Chinese New Year. Contrary to other markets, it is observed that China has returned to market and has started to buy raw materials. Chinese traders are currently receiving offers from several producers and considering these offers with advantageous freight rates. Accordingly, SteelOrbis has been informed that the ex-South Brazil basic pig iron offers to China are currently at the price level of $315/mt C&F China for February shipments.
