Although some scrap dealers have been considering sales to the Turkish scrap market, buyers are cautious about concluding new deals. Both buyers and dealers in the market are reluctant to take the initiative in determining new price levels. According to market sources, suppliers in the Baltic and Adriatic regions are testing the market with a price of $195/mt CFR for HMS I/II 80:20 scrap. However, market sources state that buyers are unwilling to accept this price level and their price expectations are mostly at around $185/mt CFR.
