SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have increased by NTD 200/mt ($6/mt) during the past week to NTD 4,600-5,500/mt ($141-168/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have decreased by NTD 2,000/mt ($61/mt) over the past week to NTD 32,000-38,000/mt ($977-1,160/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for shipments in early and middle December.
